Doing the math: Book 7 would need a fork-lift [Posted Monday, 09/11/06 4:11 pm] Last Friday, at the Edinburgh tea party held to mark the launch of Driving Lessons starring Julie Walters and Rupert Grint, J.K. Rowling was quoted as saying, "I’m up to about 750 pages now, but I’m not telling anyone what happens to Harry."
Whoa! 750 pages and she's not anywhere near being done yet? That's more than the entire Goblet of Fire (734 pages) not to mention Half-Blood Prince (870)!
I did the math. What!? This book is going to be 1400 pages long?
Obviously, not. Today, on her official website, J.K. says the interview got it wrong. She says, "Oh pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease. I haven't written 750 pages of book seven, and if I had, I'd be very worried, as I'm not close to finishing it yet."
You're worried? How about all those postal workers who thought they'd have to be delivering all those refrigerator sized books?
New unforgivable curse: Mobili-Book-Sevenus! (Kills someone by throwing a Harry Potter Book 7 at them.)
Hey! Wanna frustrate a Wizard? Dare them to try Book-Sevenus Leviosa! It's not possible! :-)
