Twilight script was once eyed by Harry Potter director
MTV News has learned that Chris Columbus took a glance at the script for Twilight at the beginning of the adaptation process. "I guess I did read a script early on," says the director. "But I was doing something else." He says he doesn't regret leaving Harry Potter, though he admits that it's a strange feeling to see the new films come out with different directors. [more...]

Harry Potter location uncovered in Bracknell
A 10-year-old boy found proof the new Harry Potter movie is being filmed in Bracknell's Swinley Forest in Berkshire, England. The boy discovered papers entitled 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Call-sheet 78 Revised' lying on the ground in the area. Half-Blood Prince Soundtrack to include 5.1 audio and extras
New Line Records will release the original motion picture soundtrack for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on digital and CD Tuesday, July 14. In a first for a Harry Potter film soundtrack, it will be an enhanced CD giving fans a free digital download of the entire soundtrack in 5.1 Surround Sound audio, along with bonus exclusive content. 250 lots of film and TV costumes from the archives of Angels the Costumiers go under the hammer later this week. Outfits from Harry Potter and Doctor Who will be up for sale at the auction, at Bonhams in London on June 16. Harry Potter train rolls into Paris
The cast of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince have arrived in France on-board a very special train to promote the new film. Actors and animals from the movie will tour the country, stopping at 11 towns. In addition to the human stars, including Tom Felton, Bonnie Wright and Oliver and James Phelps, Harry's owl Hedwig and Hagrid's dog are also taking the tour. [more...]

As part of its 2009 hot list, Rolling Stone has dubbed Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movies, its hot sidekick of the year. Dan Radcliffe says scenes aren't exciting
Daniel Radcliffe has said that filming scenes in his movie roles is not at all. The Harry Potter star recorded his first scene with Teresa Palmer in 2007's December Boys, while he also appeared on stage in Equus. Rumor: Half-Blood Prince to have 153 minute runtime
According to HPANA, a foreign Warner Bros. distributor has stated the runtime for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to be 153 minutes (2 hours, 33 minutes). While certainly not confirmed, this would put it in line with previous films in the series and producers' comments over the years about limiting each film to around that length. [more...]
