Twilight script was once eyed by Harry Potter director
MTV News has learned that Chris Columbus took a glance at the script for Twilight at the beginning of the adaptation process. "I guess I did read a script early on," says the director. "But I was doing something else." He says he doesn't regret leaving Harry Potter, though he admits that it's a strange feeling to see the new films come out with different directors. [more...]

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are great people to work with, says Jamie Campbell Bower, who really enjoyed filming his New Moon scenes as vampire Caius with Rob. Jamie said, "It was great fun. Robert Pattinson hit by taxi in NY
In a scene reminiscent of The Beatles "Hard Day's Night," Robert Pattison was struck by a taxi while running from a gaggle of fans. Not to worry. The "Twilight" star, in New York to film "Remember Me," was merely clipped by the cab. He appeared to be OK, People magazine reports. [more...]

Robert Pattinson will return for next Twilight film
"Breaking Dawn" is the fourth title in the Twilight book series, written by author Stephanie Meyer, and according to examiner.com, star of the original movie Robert Pattinson should be joining the cast as the role of Edward Cullen again. Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays the leader of the Volturi vampire council in "New Moon," is reported to now be cast as the Dark wizard, Gellert Grindelwald, who is a magician and childhood friend of Dumbledore's in the final Potter film, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". Twilight DVD sales break Australian record
Harry Potter and Batman have been bitten by the Twilight phenomenon. DVD and Blu-ray sales of the cult teenage vampire film have reached a record-breaking 264,077 in its first week on shelves in Australia. Why Rob Pattinson almost gave up acting
Rob Pattinson, who stars in the independent film How To Be, almost decided to change his career focus, the film's director says. "He was thinking about giving up acting and maybe doing music solely when this role came along. He wanted to play the roles he wasn't getting." 5,000 Twilight fans have signed an online petition requesting that Robert Pattinson be considered to host Saturday Night Live. The idea was started by a Twilight fan identified as "The_Mad_Chatter". Twilight DVD sells more than 3 million copies on first day
The DVD of Breaking Dawn sold 1.3 million copies on just one day. The movie adaptation of Twilight had a $70 million opening weekend in November. Now the juggernaut that is Stephenie Meyer's vampire romance franchise has continued its dizzying streak of commercial hits with the film selling more than 3 million DVDs on the first day of its release. Chris Weitz to direct Twilight sequel
