Emma Thompson's daughter bit by turtle

[from Contact News]

English actress and soon to be Professor Trelawney in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Emma Thompson's young daughter Gaia got a shock while holidaying in the Seychelles last week - when she was bitten by a turtle.

The four-year-old girl was feeding a 150-year-old chelonian a piece of lettuce when the creature got overexcited and bit her finger, splitting the youngster's nail.

Gaia's maternal grandmother, actress Phyllida says, "It was a turtle called James. It was quick a nasty shock and he split Gaia's nail.

"I think Emma felt a little bad afterwards because it turns out that when one feeds turtles, one really ought to put the lettuce on the end of a stick."
