 Gary Oldman has foot surgery to fix old surfing injury

Gary Oldman is hobbling around Hollywood after taking time out of his hectic schedule to have long overdue surgery on his foot.
The Harry Potter star injured his right foot in a surfing accident on Hawaii five years ago but has never found the time to have it attended to properly.
So, after filming his role as Sirius Black in the upcoming movie Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and before he starts work on one of two new Batman films - as Commissioner Jim Gordon, Oldman decided to take time off to literally put his feet up.
Oldman's manager Douglas Urbanski says, "He felt it was the right time to have this surgery. His foot was getting more and more painful. Published March 8, 2004
