Elijah Wood absorbs underground experience [from Contact Music] Elijah Wood has taken the method acting experience a step too far - he decided to take the London Underground in preparation for filming a scene in his new film and ended up arriving late on set. The Lord of the Rings star decided to take the Underground to London's East Finchley tube station last Sunday for a scene being filmed for The Yank - when he experienced the well-documented delays regularly incurred by commuters. A source says, "He decided to absorb the atmosphere of the Underground but got more of a realistic experience than he bargained for. "There was a points failure and he arrived nearly an hour late."
