Fay Wray hits it off with Peter Jackson

Actress Fay Wray who played King Kong's love interest in the 1933 original was an instant hit with director Peter Jackson, who is directing a remake of the ape movie.

According to The New York Post, Fay, a star of "Broadway: The Golden Age," met the "Lord of the Rings" director at a premiere and Jackson was thrilled to meet the 96-year-old actress.

Jackson's Kong epic, will begin shooting in August in New Zealand and he is still casting 10 supporting actors to join Naomi Watts, Adrien Brody and Jack Black.

"Kong's going to be a C.G. (computer-generated) gorilla," Jackson was quoted as saying.
