The Internet Movie Database is reporting this morning that Emma Watson, Hermione in the Harry Potter films, will star as a character named Kate De Vries in the film Airborn, currently slated for a May 2006 release.

According to IMDb, the plot outline for the film is as follows:

Matt Cruse [Liam Aiken] works as a cabin boy on the passenger cruise ship Aurora. When pirates attack the ship, he sets off with Kate de Vries on an adventure that takes them to an uncharted island that was once explored by Kate's grandfather.

Liam Aiken and Kay Panabaker, two other teen movie stars, are also reported to be starring in the movie.

Do take this report with a grain of salt, however, as IMDb is not entirely reputable. (They're also reporting that Emma is on board for Order of the Phoenix, which, although likely, has not yet been officially confirmed.) If the report is accurate, it would by no means render her unable to participate in Order of the Phoenix, filming on which will not begin until February.
