Update: J.K. Rowling on Italian TV most likely a hoax By Dave Haber, Wizard New Wizard Yesterday we reported on Wizard News that a quote was posted to the alt.fan.harry-potter newsgroup which was supposedly transcribed from an appearance by J.K. Rowling on the program "L'Italia sul 2" on the Italian TV network RAI 2, of J.K. reading a passage from the unreleased Harry Potter Book 7. Today, we've received info which pretty-much disproves proves the original report was most likely a hoax. It comes from Wizard News reader Mariano, who lives in Italy: "I read on your website about a so-called excerpt of the 7th Harry Potter book appeared in a TV show in my country. Well, I can tell you that the excerpt, as well as the claim that J.K. Rowling appeared on that show, is completely false. L'Italia sul 2 is a minor program, it's on air at about 2 p.m. and it has no special guests at all. Of course, J.K. Rowling would never appear on it. I usually watch this show, and this week they didn't even mention Harry Potter." Thanks, Mariano, for shedding more light on this story.
